How do I play?

Can I have more than one account?
No. Having more than one account is a good reason to be suspended from the game completely. We often provide special promotions to our members, like free credits to play or special gifts, and we provide them to people, not to e-mail addresses. Therefore it would be very unfair to other players in the game to use more than one account and get those promotions and gifts more than once.
What is the difference between credits and points?
To be clear, there is a big difference between the definition “credit” and the definition “point” on the Stradamus website. You buy Credits to play the game; each question answered and submitted by you requires one credit. Without credits, you cannot answer questions, and submit your answers and therefore possibly win the game. The word “Point” is specified as a winning point for all correct answers you provide. Each correct answer gets you 1 point. Therefore, you cannot buy points; you earn them and get rewarded for each correct answer. You win based on the highest amount of points for the current week within one of the categories.
How much is it to get started?
Registration is free, which will allow access to all contents of the website, including the questions we ask on a daily basis. However, to play the Stradamus game you will need credits, and it costs only $10.00 to get 20 credits which will be enough to answer all 15 questions within one category. However, if you choose to skip a few questions, the same 20 credits can last you longer.
Also at the moment, we have a special promotion of awarding FREE, 15 credits to play for any new Stradamus member, so actually while this promotion is in effect; it does not cost you anything at all to start playing the game.
Can I play more than one category?
Absolutely! You are welcome to play as many categories as you wish.
What is the type of question format?
Questions can be of two (2) different formats, either a DIRECT question where you have to type in an answer yourself, and a MULTIPLE CHOICE questions where you will need to choose the correct answer from usually 5 (5) options provided for you.
How do I win?
Every category has 15 questions each week spread out unequally throughout the days of the week depending on the events/games happening within that category that particular week. But, by the end of the week every category will have 15 questions asked, no more and no less. However, you do not have to answer every single question, you choose how many you want to answer and you are welcome to skip those you do not feel you have a good chance at getting correct. For each correct answer given, you get 1 (winning) point. At the end of each week, specifically every Tuesday, we look at all points within each category and the person, who has the most points, wins. It doesn’t matter if you play only 1 category or more categories that week, the highest amount of points you get within one category will count. So if you play 5 categories, for example, and in one of them you get 11 points, which is more than you got in the other categories, regardless the category it has been acquired in. If your 11 points is the highest amount of point that week in that category, you win.
Is there a way to follow my points for the week?
Yes, when you logged in to your account, you then click on “View Your Points” button and you will be able to see all your points within each category for the week.
How often is there a winner?
Every calendar week!!! Every Tuesday, to be exact. Every playing week starts fresh on Wednesday and finishes the following Monday. Tuesday there is no questions since this is the day to announce the winners and present the prizes.
What kind of prizes can I win?
Prizes are changing all the time; you can see the prize for the current week at the Home page of Stradamus website. Prizes depend on our sponsors and partners, not on the amount of players playing the game for this particular week.
Can I win without using all of the credits for the week?
Yes, it does not matter how many credits you use that week, it only matters if you get more correct answers within one of the categories than anyone else within that category and all of the individual categories separately (not combined).
What happens in the event of a tie?
In case of a tie, we provide additional questions to all players who tied. Additional questions will not cost players anything as the administration will reward each player additional free credits equaling the amount of additional questions asked. Additional questions will take place on Wednesday of the same week (very next day following the Tuesday when the tie is identified), and whoever get more points on the additional questions, will be the winner for that week.
Is there a runner up?
Not at the moment, no, but in the future we will be giving more prizes than one each week. The administration will decide when that happens based on the Stradamus partners and sponsors.
Is there a limited number of wins per player?
No. If you are able to win every week, you will win every week!
How do I claim my prize?
We will contact you the same day you win the prize, about your prize using the contact information you provided to us on the registration page. Depending on the type of the prize (its size, weight etc.), your location, and your personal preferences, we can use a variety of ways to get your prize to you. However, our goal is to get the prize in your hands personally, face-to-face, sometimes with a special event planned if time permits, a celebration party and/or media coverage.
How long does it take to receive the prize?
It is in Stradamus interests to get the prize in the hands of the winner as soon as possible, sometimes the same day (Tuesday) the winner is identified or the next day, but at the same time, the timeline can depend on the location of the winner, personal preferences of the winner and many other factors.
Do I have to pay to get my prize delivered?
No, we cover all expenses connected with delivering your prize to you.
What happens if I do not receive my prize?
We will make sure you receive your prize. If something unforeseen occurs within our responsibility that prevents you from receiving your prize, we will resend the prize.
Is there a way to follow the shipment of the prize, like a tracking Number?
We will keep you informed of the delivery of your prize from the moment you have been identified as a winner until the moment you receive the prize. Depending on the delivery of your prize, you will have either a tracking number (if we ship your prize to you by UPS or FedEx) or additional information, for example (e-mails, phone calls) if you prefer (in case of personal delivery).
How long will STRADAMUS attempt to contact a winner?
We will attempt to contact the winner on a consistent basis for up to 30 days following the day the winner is identified. We will make every reasonable attempt possible to get the prize into the winner’s hands, but if for some unforeseen reason, the winner does not respond to our attempts to contact him/her through phone, e-mail and mail during 30 calendar days, the winner loses his/her right to receive the prize.
What happens to my unused credits?
They stay forever in your account until you decide to use them again. Please note, that there are absolutely no refunds on unused credits for any reason.
Do my credits ever expire?
Never! Once you buy credits, they will stay in your account forever. You can choose when you want to answer questions and use your credits.
Can I change my security settings and personal settings after I have registered?
Yes, anytime you want to change your personal information or password, you can use the “Update Account” page after logging in.
Is my personal Information secure?
Absolutely! Your personal information is very secure and is not shared with anyone. We care about your security as if it is our own and we take all necessary precautions to guarantee complete protection of all personal information you provide to us. Regarding your payments for the credits, all information goes through PayPal, and Stradamus website does not keep your credit card information.
Do I have to login every day?
Absolutely not! You are welcome to login only when, and as often as you want too.
Can I stop playing at any time?
Absolutely! You are not required to play at any time at all! Since the registration is free, you can stay a member of Stradamus for as long as you like without playing the actual game. We do not refund the credits you buy to play, but when they run out (or you never bought then in the first place), you are not required to buy more credits – only if you desire to continue playing Stradamus.
How can I cancel the account?
The membership is free, and you don’t need to buy more credits if you don’t want to play the game, so you can stay a member for as long as you want without playing the game (but no longer than 12 months without logging in to your account – see following question). However, if you want to cancel your account completely, you can send an e-mail to support@stradamus.com with the subject line “Cancel” and we will cancel your membership.
Can I lose the account if I do not play?
No, you cannot lose your account if you do not play. However, If you do not have any credits in your account and if your account is completely inactive (you do not login to it) for 12 consecutive months, your account will be deleted. Any special promotions and/gifts offered to you by Stradamus will be lost with the account.
The exception is if you still have at least one (1) credit to play in your account, in that case there is no timeline at all as you will have your registration valid for as long as you have at least one (1) credit in your account.
Can my account be suspended?
Yes, if you try to cheat, for example. If you break the rules of the game, let’s say by having more than one account (see above) or play unfairly in any other way, or showcase a behavior with lack of respect to the Stradamus administration and/or other players, your account may be suspended. The suspension can be temporary or permanent and will be reviewed on, a case by case basis by the Stradamus administration.
Can I get my account back if it has been suspended?
You can request to reinstate your account by sending an e-mail to the Stradamus administration via: support@stradamus.com and the administration will make a decision based on an individual case, considering specific reasons for the original suspension, and if those reasons were corrected or eliminated.
Can I link STRADAMUS to my social website?
Yes, use the “Share” buttons on the right side of the page right above of Stradamus partners and categories list.
What do I do if my question is not in the FAQ page?
You can ask your question using the “Contact Us” form on the “Contact Us’ page and we will answer your question as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours (sometimes within first hour). Please make sure you provide your correct e-mail address because we will forward our responses to the e-mail address you provide in the “Contact Us” form.
